Drive Safely Through Highway Work Zones
Highway work and construction zones are springing up everywhere. Please avoid rear-end collisions by maintaining at least six seconds of following distance all the way through a work zone. Do not exceed the zone’s reduced speed limit and watch for other drivers’ mistakes that could cause a collision.
Traffic patterns in construction zones often change frequently. At night, these may be especially difficult to navigate because reflective barricades make it difficult to determine the layout of temporary lanes. Slow down and always be prepared for the unexpected.
