New year, new products and services!

We want to highlight two of those products and services that can benefit your agency in the new year.
Independent Contractor Program
Protective Insurance Company provides comprehensive, best-in-class risk management solutions for independent contractor drivers and the motor carriers they lease their vehicles to. Protective works with motor carriers to sponsor insurance coverage for these drivers, while providing value-added services that set the company apart. Whether independent contractors are hurt while delivering a load or their vehicles are damaged, Protective strives to give drivers the attention they really need, when they need it the most. This year, Protective has enhanced its Independent Contractor Program. Platforms tailored specifically for motor carriers include the following:
- Motor carrier sponsored policies that provide insurance coverages that are either required under a lease agreement or offered as optional protection
- Access to loss prevention services
- Experienced, in-house claims staff that specialize in independent contractor claims
- Easy administration
Errors and Omissions Product
Effective January 1, Protective Specialty Insurance Company has launched an Errors and Omissions (E&O) product, available to independent property and casualty insurance agents with up to $50 million in annual revenue. Target markets include retailers, wholesalers, MGAs, MGUs, surplus lines brokers and hard-to-place firms. The available limits consist of up to $5 million per claim, along with a $5 million aggregate. In addition, both the minimum retention and the minimum premium are $5,000. This broad coverage is available on non-admitted Protective Specialty paper nationwide. Coverage highlights include:
- B+ insolvency
- Personal injury
- Punitive damages
- Automatic subsidiary
- Predecessor firm
- Primary and excess
Additionally, coverage includes a mediation provision to reduce the retention, defense cost for disciplinary proceedings up to $25,000, and free pre-claim assistance from Traub Lieberman Strauss and Shrewsberry LLP, a highly regarded insurance defense firm. This new E&O product offers solution-oriented coverage with a flexible underwriting philosophy.
