Intercom Tutorial

Are you using Sagamore's Intercom to quote new policies? If not, get started today!

Sagamore Insurance Company’s Personal Auto and Small Fleet Trucking programs offer reliable coverage from an A+ rated carrier. With Sagamore, you can be sure your customers are in good hands and your quoting experience with our online rater will be efficient and accurate.

Visit our website and explore our online resources. Let us know if we can provide any clarification or answer questions regarding the quoting process.

  1. Visit www.sagamoreinsurance.com.  
  2. Select Agent Login from the top menu.
  3. Click on the line of business you wish to quote (Personal Auto or Trucking).
  4. Input your Agency Code and Password to login. If either of these is unknown, please contact our marketing department for verification. Email us at marketing@sagamoreinsurance.com or call 800-317-9402, Option 8.
  5. Once you are logged in, you will see our Agent Services menu listed on your screen.
  6. The Personal Auto menu is listed below; it does not apply to Small Fleet Trucking. The Personal Auto menu allows you to select from the following resources:
    1. Sagamore Personal Auto Rater: Quote a new risk with Sagamore, upload an application, or view or delete a previously saved quote. Entering a new quote is simple and self-explanatory. As you enter the information needed for the quote, you can navigate between pages using the links at the bottom of the rater. If you need to exit the rating system after the quote has been provided, but want to return to complete the application later, simply save the quote. You can then resume the process when you log in again by selecting View Saved Quote, under Personal Auto Rater.
    2. Endorsement Request: Quote an endorsement and submit endorsement requests on existing Sagamore policies. You may also view old endorsement requests here.
    3. Billing Summary: View all current in-force policies, current policy status, dates and amounts of most recent payments, dates and amounts of next payments due, and policies’ effective dates, expiration dates and cancellation dates, if applicable.
    4. Payment Notification: Submit a receipt of payment by agent electronic funds transfer (EFT) or by agent check, insured check or money order by mailing payment to company. You may view EFT payment history by dates, customer, policy number and amount swept – both completed and pending transactions.
    5. Policy Review: Review all details of a policy, including customer information, vehicle information, coverages purchased and premium amount. This option is not available in all states.
    6. Request Cancellation: Submit a policy cancellation request.
    7. Underwriting Manuals: Download and view the Sagamore underwriting manual for your state. This includes rating information, underwriting guidelines, commission details, payment plans and other guidelines.
    8. Send Email: Contact Sagamore directly via email. You can send an email through our website to our accounting, customer service, marketing, underwriting or claims departments.
    9. Order Supplies: Sagamore will provide supplies for your agency. Log-on to order forms, envelopes, new customer brochures, accident reporting guides and more.
    10. EFT Sign-Up an Administration: Sign up for agent EFT to upload insured down payments and installment payments or sign the agency up to submit payments to Sagamore Insurance Company via EFT from agency’s checking or savings account. You may also update existing account information, including a change in agency routing or account numbers.
